RECAP: Hamas terrorists launch bloody surprise attack against Israel

Israel is under attack.

The Hamas terrorist group attacked the country on Saturday, leaving Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu no other option than to declare, “We are at war.”

Horrific videos of the conflict have been circulating on social media, including kidnappings and murders of Israeli civilians.

Mark Levin is understandably outraged.

“They have people in the streets being slaughtered, people in their homes being slaughtered. You’ve seen this video of them kidnapping people and just whacking them around like they’re not even human beings. Killing people left and right,” he says.

While those behind the attacks are being referred to as Gaza militants or Palestinian militants, Levin believes they’re much worse than that.

“These are Nazis. This is what the Nazis do. This is what the Nazis are all about. This is what their children are being taught,” he explains.

Levin recalls that in addition, just two weeks ago, America unfroze $6 billion for Iran.

“Why the hell are we agreeing that Iran should have $6 billion, period?” Levin asks angrily. “They threaten to blow us off the face of the Earth, they threaten to blow Israel off the face of the Earth. They’re behind this entire damn thing.”

“There needs to be accountability here,” he adds.

He notes that Biden has also failed to condemn the recent terror wave against Israelis.

“Our enemies see all this, they see appeasement,” Levin says. “I’m telling you the truth. President Biden reaffirmed his commitment to a two-state solution. You know what a two-state solution is for Israel? It’s the final solution.”

Levin: 'The president of the United States, Donald Trump, will be remembered in the Middle East for a thousand years'

Thursday on the radio, LevinTV host Mark Levin called attention to President Donald Trump's unprecedented success in the Middle East and support for U.S. ally Israel, which the mainstream media has done its best to obscure.

"The president of the United States continues to do historic things in a place where history matters: the birth of Judaism. The birth of Christianity. The birth of Islam. The president of the United States, Donald Trump, will be remembered in the Middle East for a thousand years. He will be remembered by our enemies as the enemy. And he will be remembered by our friends as the great Donald Trump. You see, they view him quite differently than CNN and MSNBC and the New York Times and the Washington Post and all the rest of them. The relationship between Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu is unparalleled. Unparalleled — it's unequaled. And will the liberals in Israel throw Bibi Netanyahu out, the way the Left threw out Churchill after WWII? Will we, the American people, throw Donald Trump out, who stands between us and the insanity on the Left?" Levin said.

Listen:

"The ISIS caliphate has been defeated, ladies and gentlemen. That doesn't mean ISIS is ultimately defeated; like rats, like cockroaches, they know how to hide. But their territorial control is over. And this president did it in two years, despite all the attacks from Congress, all the investigations from the special counsel, all the smears from the media. He's accomplished something Barack Obama could not accomplish. He's given no credit whatsoever — none! He stopped Syria from gassing its people, something Barack Obama said was a red line and then he ran. Trump stopped them. ... This president said that the United States is going to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, because it is the capital of Israel. Virtually every president in the modern era has said the same thing, and then they lied. He was told, 'Don't do it, don't do it, lie like the others.' But he did it. He moved the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. ... For both of those acts, he came under attack," Levin said.

By contrast, Levin explained, the Democrat Party has given up even the pretense of being pro-Israel. Not a single announced Democratic 2020 candidate for president is speaking at next week’s center-left AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) Policy Conference in Washington, D.C., which Conservative Review national security correspondent Jordan Schachtel previously reported.

"The Democrat party is not only moving hard left against the United States, it's moving hard left against a critical ally. And the president of the United States doesn't get the credit that he deserves, standing up to them, standing up to the world, standing up for us, and standing up for our allies," he said.

The GOP Congress could respond to Airbnb’s anti-Israel move, but probably won’t

A recent move by Airbnb to block Jews in the West Bank from using its listing services has sparked policy action from the incoming governor of Florida and the outgoing governor of Illinois, but not so much from the outgoing Republican Congress.

CR foreign policy correspondent Jordan Schachtel reported earlier this week:

Florida Governor-elect Ron DeSantis has also pledged to take legal action, if necessary, to stop Florida government employees from using Airbnb, should the policy continue.

Outgoing Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner is also looking into taking potential action against Airbnb.

In the Washington Free Beacon report, reporter Adam Kredo noted that the situation could potentially lead to a renewed push for anti-boycott legislation on Capitol Hill. There’s one anti-BDS bill in the Senate and another in the House, each with bipartisan support. These would be updates to 1977 anti-boycott provisions signed by President Carter.

Will legislation make it to the president’s desk before Christmas?

I asked the offices of several pro-Israel members of both chambers whether or not the Airbnb news would lead to an end-of-year push on anti-boycott legislation. "Not that I know of," one senior GOP aide told me.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, is vocal about his interest in using the power of Congress to address anti-Semitism. "This kind of persecution has no place in any society and must end," Cruz told the Free Beacon. "Airbnb should reverse its decision, and I will continue to work with my colleagues to combat anti-Semitism here and abroad."

Other offices did not respond in time for publication. If responses are received, CR will update this article.

Absent any movement next week, it seems unlikely that we’ll see any progress on this front before Democrats take over the House in January. Sure, this would have been an easy last-minute messaging win for the GOP, but if Republicans were good at picking up the easy wins, they might not have lost the House earlier this month.

Editor's note: This article has been updated with quotes from a senior GOP aide and Sen. Ted Cruz. It has also been updated to clarify that several offices did not respond in time for publication.

Levin and Israeli Ambassador Dermer discuss global anti-Semitism, Trump's pro-Israel policies

Monday evening on his radio show, LevinTV host Mark Levin interviewed Israeli Ambassador to the United States Ron Dermer about the tragic shooting over the weekend in Pittsburgh and the state of worldwide anti-Semitism. Dermer warned about the unchecked proliferation of anti-Semitic behavior on social media.

“You could have one 100th of 1 percent, could be 30,000 Americans. And these extremists – it could be people like David Duke, it could be neo-Nazis, it could be white nationalists, all sorts of people. But online, they can actually build communities of hate in a way that they couldn’t do before,” Dermer explained.

He rejected the accusations by the hard Left that President Trump is a force for anti-Semitism.

“We’ve never had a stronger supporter of Israel than President Trump. And frankly, it hasn’t even been close in terms of what he’s done,” Dermer added. He also commended the president for targeting the Iranian regime.

“He has starved this anti-Semitic terrorist regime of hundreds of billions of dollars that would be used to kill Jews and to murder Israelis and also to threaten all of our Arab neighbors,” Dermer said.

The Israeli ambassador also discussed how anti-Semites around the world now cloak their hatred of Jews by targeting Israel, a nation that President Trump has long considered a great ally.

“Now most of the attacks actually hide themselves behind a mask of hatred toward Israel, to the one and only Jewish state. But the singling out of Israel is very much like they used to single out the Jews for special treatment,” the Israeli ambassador stated. “So I think you’ve seen this on the rise. It’s not just in America. It’s all around the world.”
