Republican Rep. Greg Steube of Florida, who was injured last week when he fell around 25 feet, has revealed that he is recovering from injuries including a fractured pelvis, punctured lung, and torn ligaments.

"I am blessed to have a great support team in my wife Jennifer as well as numerous friends and family, including the Steube pups!" a Monday tweet on the lawmaker's @RepGregSteube Twitter account noted. "Grateful for everyone’s prayers and well-wishes as I recover from a fractured pelvis, a punctured lung, and several torn ligaments in my neck."

A photo of the congressman shows him lying on a couch, with two dogs on top of him.

The fall occurred on Wednesday when Steube "was knocked approximately 25 feet down off a ladder while cutting tree limbs on his Sarasota property," according to a tweet from last week. The lawmaker got out of the hospital on Saturday, according to another tweet.

"While I will be sidelined in Sarasota for several weeks, I will be carrying out as many of my congressional duties as possible, and our DC and district staff continue to be readily available to assist Floridians in FL-17," Steube noted in a Monday tweet. "I'm eager to rejoin my colleagues in Washington as soon as possible!" another post added.

According to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Steube will sit on the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.

"Glad to see you at home my friend! Heal up soon… America needs ya back in the game!" GOP Rep. Bill Huizenga of Michigan tweeted in response to Steube's update on Monday.

"So proud of my friend and teammate in his courage to overcome this," Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania tweeted.

Steube has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2019.

Twitter trolls pounce on Steven Crowder tweet announcing that he 'took a turn for the worse'

Louder With Crowder host Steven Crowder posted a photo of himself on Tuesday and indicated that he had recently come close to death.

"Last night took a turn for the worse. Ever actually get so close that you can physically feel death? He's a dick. The good news is, it's fixable and these things happen. I'll be back before you know it. Thanks for the support," Crowder tweeted along with a photo of himself.

On Friday Crowder had tweeted: "Mild lung collapse. Sounds worse than it is, and I'll get the function back, but recovery is going to take longer than I was aiming for."

While many social media users wished Crowder well when reacting to his Tuesday tweet, others did not.

"Nah it's cool man, feel free to die. Don't hold up on my account," one tweet read.

"WHY WON'T YOU JUST KICK THE BUCKET JUST GET IT OVER WITH," another tweet said.

"You deserve every second of it," another post declared.

"You should let go and stop fighting," a tweet stated.

"Don't fight too hard now. Might just be your time," another tweet said.

"This dude made fun of George Floyd's death. He doesn't think our lives matter so I feel the same about his," someone wrote.

But not everyone spewed vitriol. Some offered their wishes for Crowder's recovery.

"All the best to you and your family and hoping for a quick recovery," a tweet said.

"Hang in there, brother! I don't think God's done with you yet. Praying for you and your family," another post declared.

"This comment section sums up everything that's wrong with Twitter and our society. Hope you get better soon man," someone wrote.
